Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, events that came to a virtual standstill are once again gaining momentum through online congresses.
Online congresses and events, which did not receive much attention and value nearly five years ago, have seen a significant increase in demand with changing circumstances. As of now, there is an increase in demand of approximately over 75% compared to five years ago, and online congresses and events are being used to revive the global economy.
China’s renowned marketplace, Alibaba, is transitioning its events that cannot be held in physical settings due to the coronavirus to online platforms. In Japan, various organizations have started organizing online events.
COVID-19, for which an effective vaccine or cure has not been found yet, has caused rapid global changes. However, this may not be the sole factor in moving events and congresses to online platforms. According to scientists, environmental factors such as climate change may also contribute to the emergence of pandemics in the future. Therefore, it is foreseeable that in the future, online congresses and events will permanently establish themselves in most live streaming platforms.
Universities Have Also Started Using Online Congresses!
